The short answer
Houston garages take a beating — summer slab temperatures above 100°F, year-round humidity, oil drips, hot tires, and chemical spills. An uncoated garage floor deteriorates fast. Our epoxy garage floor coating is a two-part system: a 100% solids epoxy base coat for adhesion and chemical resistance, topped with a polyaspartic topcoat for UV stability and long-term durability. Installed across Houston. 15-year installation warranty in writing on every install. 2-car garage $2,400, flat.
01 · Why it works
Why Houston property owners choose epoxy garage floor coatings.
Every coating project starts with a problem. Here’s what drives most Houston garage-floor clients to pick up the phone:
Durability against Houston’s heat and humidity
Houston’s subtropical climate is punishing on concrete. Temperature swings cause expansion and contraction. Moisture migrates through the slab. A quality epoxy system seals the surface, prevents moisture intrusion, and holds up under thermal stress that would cause inferior coatings to peel or bubble.
Chemical resistance for real-world use
Motor oil, transmission fluid, gasoline, brake cleaner, de-icing salt tracked in from trips north — epoxy shrugs off the chemicals that stain and erode bare concrete. Spills wipe up instead of soaking in.
Seamless, easy-to-clean surface
No grout lines. No pores. No places for dirt, bacteria, or moisture to hide. A coated garage floor can be swept and mopped clean in minutes, turning a dusty storage area into usable living space.
Dramatic visual transformation
This is the change people notice. A decorative flake or solid-color epoxy system takes a garage from grey and cracked to polished and intentional. Clients regularly tell us their garage became their favorite room in the house.
Increased home value
A professionally coated garage floor is a visible upgrade buyers notice. It signals a home that has been maintained and improved with quality materials, not just cosmetic patches.
15-year installation warranty
Every install we do is backed in writing. We control every variable we can — surface prep, material selection, application, and cure time — which is why we’re comfortable standing behind the work that long.
02 · How we build it
Our 5-step epoxy garage floor process.
We follow the same five-step process on every garage floor project. No shortcuts, no improvisation. Each step exists because skipping it leads to coating failure — and in Houston’s environment, the margin for error is zero.
Slab Evaluation & Moisture Testing
We inspect the concrete for age, existing coatings, cracks, spalling, and contamination. We moisture-test the slab — moisture vapor is a leading cause of coating failure in Houston. If readings are too high, we address it before any coating goes down.
Mechanical Grinding
Diamond grinders prepare the surface to CSP 2–3 profile. No acid etching. Mechanical grinding removes the top layer uniformly, opens the pores, and creates the profile that allows epoxy to physically lock into the concrete.
Crack & Divot Repair
Every crack, divot, and imperfection gets chased, cleaned, and repaired. In Houston, where expansive clay soils cause ongoing slab movement, this is structural preparation — not cosmetic.
Epoxy Base Coat + Flake
We apply the 100% solids epoxy base coat. If decorative flake is part of the design, it’s broadcast into the wet epoxy for full, even coverage. The epoxy cures overnight before the topcoat goes on.
Polyaspartic Topcoat
After the epoxy base has cured, we return to apply the UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat. Walk on it in 24 hours. Park on it in 72. Warranty starts the day the topcoat cures.
03 · Timeline options
One system, done right: the 2-day hybrid.
Most companies in Houston advertising “1-day garage floors” use polyurea or polyaspartic as both the base coat and the topcoat — a single-product shortcut that sacrifices bond strength to save a day. We do it differently.
Our 2-day hybrid
Standard-cure 100% solids epoxy primer — fully cross-links overnight before the topcoat goes on. Deepest primer bond we build. Full-refusal flake broadcast. Polyaspartic topcoat.
2-car garage $2,400, flat.
See the full hybrid page →Why not one day?
Because the base coat has to cure overnight before the topcoat goes on — that cross-link is what bonds the floor to the slab. A one-day floor is one thin coat over concrete that’s still gassing off. Ours is two days on site for speckled, three to four for solid color and marbled, and you’re driving on it on day five.
$3,500 for a 2-car, flat.
See the hybrid system →Not sure which finish? Speckled is what 8 in 10 Houston garages get — it hides everything and it’s the most affordable. Solid color is the showroom look. Marbled is the statement floor. All three get the same prep, the same epoxy primer, the same polyaspartic topcoat, and the same 15-year written warranty.
04 · Warranty
Backed by a 15-year installation warranty.
Every epoxy garage floor we install comes with a 15-year installation warranty in writing. If our workmanship or installation process causes a failure, we come back and make it right.
The warranty covers defects in our installation. It does not cover damage from misuse, impact, abrasion beyond normal wear, hydrostatic pressure, moisture vapor transmission from pre-existing conditions, or alterations by others. Original homeowner only. GC / new-construction projects carry a 1-year warranty.
We’re confident in this warranty because we control every variable we can: surface preparation, material selection, application technique, and cure time. When those steps are done correctly, coating failure from installation defects is rare.

06 · FAQ
Houston epoxy garage floor questions.
How much does an epoxy garage floor cost in Houston?
Priced flat by garage size: $2,400 for a 2-car in speckled, $3,500 in solid color, $5,000 in marbled — complete. The finish you pick and the condition of your slab are what move the number. Not DIY-kit pricing, not inflated franchise pricing either. Get a flat price in about a minute with the free online estimator.
How long does garage floor coating installation take?
Two days for speckled: day one is prep and the epoxy base coat, which cures overnight; day two is the polyaspartic topcoat. Solid color and marbled take three to four days because each layer cures before the next. Larger or more damaged slabs can add time. Plan on about five days before you park on it.
How long does epoxy garage floor coating last?
15+ years residential use with proper prep and installation. Our 15-year installation warranty reflects that expectation — it’s the specific, written commitment a vague “lifetime” warranty doesn’t carry.
Can I park on my epoxy garage floor?
Yes — that’s what it’s built for. Foot traffic in 24 hours after the final topcoat. Light vehicle traffic at 48–72 hours. Full daily use with hot tires at 7 days of full cure. Parking too early can leave impressions; we’ll give you specific cure-time instructions on your project.
Do you need to prep the garage floor before epoxy?
Yes, and this is the single most important step. Proper prep includes mechanical diamond grinding to CSP 2–3, moisture testing, and crack/divot repair. In Houston’s humid climate, skipping moisture testing can doom an otherwise well-applied coating.
Can you do it in one day?
No — and be careful with anyone who says yes. The base coat has to cure overnight before the topcoat goes on; that overnight cross-link is what bonds the floor to the slab. A one-day floor is one thin coat over concrete that’s still gassing off. Ours is two days on site for speckled, three to four for solid color and marbled, and you’re driving on it on day five.
