01 · Why HFC exists
Most Houston homeowners get burned on floor coatings before they hire us.
Here’s the reality: most floor coating buyers in Houston never talk to the owner of the company. They talk to a sales rep from a national franchise, get a high-pressure pitch, and sign a contract with someone who doesn’t pick the crew, doesn’t handle the warranty claim, and doesn’t even know which product is going on their slab.
We built HFC to be different. When you call, you get us — the people who quote your job, spec your materials, and sign the warranty you’ll rely on in 10 years. When something needs to be escalated, you talk to us, not a 1-800 number routing to another state.
The install itself is done by hand-picked crews we’ve vetted and worked with. We don’t carry a full-time W-2 install team yet — we’re deliberate about who picks up the tools on our jobs, and the crews who do our work are some of the best in Houston. That’s the trade: we stay focused on customers and quality control; they stay focused on execution.

Three things that drive every floor we put down.
Prep matters more than product.
Diamond grinding, moisture testing, crack repair — these are the steps that determine whether a floor lasts 15 years or 3. Most floors that fail, fail at prep. We don’t shortcut it, even on 1-day installs.
Layered systems beat single products.
Epoxy bonds better. Polyaspartic tops better. A system that uses each chemistry for its strength outperforms any single-product shortcut. That’s the basis of our hybrid and 1-day systems.
Written warranties beat verbal ones.
A “lifetime” warranty that no one can produce in writing is worth nothing. We publish a 15-year installation warranty, in writing, on every job. If you need to claim it, you know exactly what’s covered.
03 · How we operate
Who does what, honestly.
Your quote, scope, and warranty come from us directly. No third-party estimators. No franchise sales process. We walk your slab, spec the right system, write the quote, and sign the warranty. If you want to escalate something mid-project, you call us.
The install is handled by hand-picked crews. We don’t rotate between unknown contractors — we work with a short list of Houston-area crews we’ve vetted, and we assign the right crew to your project based on the system. The crew doing your install is the best team we have for your specific floor.
On every project, we’re on-site for the walk-through. Before we leave your property, we review the finished floor with you, confirm the warranty paperwork, and make sure you know how to care for the install. That’s where a lot of the franchise model falls apart — ours doesn’t.
70% of our work is residential, 30% commercial. Garages, basements, restaurants, showrooms, small warehouses. We’re not chasing the massive-industrial segment — we’re staying focused on the size of project we can deliver start-to-finish at quality.
